hi! i'm opening an etsy shop within a month and trying to price all my items. my minimum item price is $15 (simpler keychain) and i was wondering if that's too much or not enough. however, i will be donating half my prices to The Humane Society and so do you think my prices can be higher and people will be willing to pay a litle more? thanks for reading this and trying to help! ❤️

I think that would be too much. I guess I don't know what pattern it is, but I would say that's too much. Maybe max $10? I don't know if this is helpful or not... 😉 😜 😂 😐

@Czarcasm ok! thanks for the feedback! i was sorta basing my prices of kinsey b's and alex's innovations shop and their prices were higher, i just don't want to undervalue them either since even the small keychains take over 3 hours for me to make. i think i'm going to lower all the prices by $1 or $2 just so it's a little closer to the people selling them for very cheap ($5-$10) and hope that people will be willing to pay a little more since i'm really only getting 45% of that as profit anyways. thank you so much for your reply, i really appreciate it!! ❤️

I’m not sure about what you should do for the exact prices, but I think that if this is possible, you should say that half of the money you get will be donated to the humane society, but that they can give you an extra amount of money of their choice that will be donated to the charity. I’m not completely sure how it works because i know there are a couple of fees.

@Elise64 ohh okay! like they can buy the product (half of that profit will be donated to the humane society) and then a spot for them to donate additional money that will only go to the shelter? i will see if i can figure out how to do this!!

Ya! I’m not sure if it’s possible to do that, but it would be nice if it is!

i would also say to lower your prices a bit, at least in the beginning until your shop is a little more established. kinsey b and alex have a bigger fan base so they can afford to have a little higher prices.also i saw your pictures on bb and your bracelets and keychains are so good!! 😍 😍 😍 Also you have eye-catching pictures which is always good for etsy! Good luck! ❤️ ❤️ |

@fcb_neymar okay, yeah that makes sense!! and thank you for the compliment! i've been retaking all my pictures so they can be on a white background in good artificial lighting (so they all look the same) but so far, only the set of butterfly keychains has the etsy background but more photos will be coming soon!

This isn't really related to the prices but maybe it could help you. A really good editing app for pictures is "snapseed" i take my pictures with natural light and this app helps a lot with making the light even everywhere. Specially the feature "selective" or something like that. But your picture of the butterfly keychain already looks so good so idk if you'll need it haha.

I think you should higher your prices... when Etsy sellers look they don’t want to buy anything too cheap instead they would think that the more expensive one is better quality. Your prices are great!

Basically what my grandpa said was to find out how much it costs you to make the product. For example if you buy your strings in packs, figure out how much it would cost one spool of string or more depending on the bracelet or keychain. Then, if you use charms or keychain drinks,
