I really liked 'The Picture of Dorian Gray", as well as "The Hobbit". I'm reading 'Pride and Prejudice' right now, but I'm only a couple pages in.

The entire Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is incredible. Hands down my favorite book(s) and movie(s). Some other good ones are: The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate, To All The Boys I Loved Before by Jenny Han.

Read classics. Any classic. Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility (or any novel by Jane Austen if you're an angry feminist like me), Wuthering Heights, Little Women, A Tale of Two Cities...The classics are the most incredible. Seriously. You're transported in a different era and you get a glimpse of life back then, and then you can't stop thinking that someone wrote these words. 200 YEARS AGO |

Scythe, by Neal Shusterman, and the rest of the series (The Thunderhead and The Toll). It's a book about the future, when technology has gotten so good and doctors have gotten so advance, people don't die anymore. They just turn back their age so they're younger, and if they die in like a car accident or something, they can get revived. So the government has a group of people called scythes, and their job is to assassinate people so the world's population doesn't get out of control. It's AWESOME!!!A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik. It's about a school where there are monsters, and you have to learn how to fight them using magic. Not all the kids survive because of the monsters. The False Prince by Jennifer A Nielsen and the rest of the series! (The Runaway King, The Shadow Throne, The Captive Kingdom) it's about this guy who takes orphans and then trains them to be like royalty. His plan is to take over the throne, because the king and queen recently died, and he wants to use one of the kids to pretend to be the missing prince who died a few years ago, then do whatever he told them to do, and basically be in charge. |

Oh and The Blackthorn Key series by Kevin Sands (The Blackthorn Key, Mark of the Plague, The Assassin's Curse, Call of the Wraith) it's about a boy who is training to be an apothecary (there's a lot of explosions in this book by the way) and his friend Tom, who's a baker's apprentice. Then they get into a lot of adventures, the first book is about how there's a group of people killing apothecaries, and then they try to figure out who. I explained it bad, but it's a really really good series
