-Lay down and stay as still as possible-Try not to eat a lot a couple hours before you go to sleep, especially chocolate and salty foods -Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day -If your mind is racing, just write down all your thoughts in a journal or something -Put down electronics -Shut off your lights, completely. It will make your brain know that it is night and that it is time to sleep If your having severe trouble going to sleep you should talk to your doctor. They may be able to give you better tips then a random person on a bracelet website |

I’m kind of having the same thing. The most sleep I get is a few hours, and I end up waking up at six am every morning, even after falling asleep at 3-5 am. I notice that my brain like switches on at night. So my head is racing with thoughts. My hands twitch sometimes, and I’m not tired.

If you're into this kind of thing, you could join Habitica. There's a guild regarding sleep hygiene and there are usually a few challenges about good sleep, routines etc. as well. If I'm not totally mistaken, even this month's Take This challenge (which rewards you an equipment item for participating) is about sleep habits. Or was it last month's? Idk. Whatever, if you want to give it a try, just download the app, it's for free. Alternatively I could send you an invitation if you'd prefer that.

one of my friends also cant sleep, she has insomnia, she stayed up for like the whole night a few days back. if you search up how t o sleep quickly, then you could find a lot if websites with tips. it helps me personally to not look at too much screens before going to bed, and maybe instead reading a book or smth. you could also listen to chill music to fall asleep

I have really bad Insomnia.Ive had it for years but this year for some reason has just been extra stressful so yeah barely slept this past school year. I dont really have any tips on how to fall asleep tbh. Try melatonin or something. It didnt work for me (or an sleeping meds ive taken so far) but it might work for you. I’m pretty sure you can get it at Walgreens or something. |

Guided meditations (usually on YouTube) have helped me when I had trouble sleeping. Calming music / ambiance helps too. I hope you get a restful sleep soon! ❤️

Ok what I do when I can't sleep is i just wake up and do something productive for a little bit until I am tired, doing this gives me a feeling of accomplishment and I feel like I can go to bed

I listen to audio books when I go to sleep. I find it very helpful to do this because it helps me to calm down if my mind is focused on the plot of a story and not my own thoughts. And I can also lie down and close my eyes and try to fall asleep while doing that. So your mind is distracted from yourself, and you are ready to fall asleep when you have calmed down. So you can find a new book to listen to, or listen to one you already know. There are also podcasts to help you fall asleep and like asmr too if you want to try that, but I would recommend listening to something, no matter what it is. Just make sure it is calming to you and not something violent and loud 😂 Hope this helps! 👍 |

You can also try yoga. It is calming, but you are also getting a bit of a workout, so you will be relaxed but also tired.

I listen to people playing with slime and fidget toys and it helps me go to sleep 🙂. Maybe music would help to?

Thank you everyone for all of the responses and answers to my questions! Im going to write a little reply to everyone real quick who has written something so far:@Ciao Thank you for all of the tips! I have a doctor's appointment soon so if my sleeping doesn't get any better I'm gonna have to do something about that 😐 I hate doctors lol so hopefully it gets better @GenMalucci oof im srry! my brain usually turns on around 1 am and goes down at 5 am, so I need to fix that. my mind doesnt rlly race w/ thoughts just races in general, its hard to explain. Ill still be tired and wont be able to sleep 😐 @5torr Habitica seems cool! I might try it out sometime and it is something im into bc im more of the gamer type. it seems like it would be a fun way to track habits, which rn i just need help w/ sleeping. thx for recommending the app! @ag_knots i hope u get more than three hours of sleep too! im probably only a few months older than u and i agree that we need sleep like- helloooo we have school and chores and all of this stuff and we cant sleep 😐 i kinda know what mine is, it has something to do w/ something that happened two months ago so once its solved ill be able to get more sleep but still not a lot of sleep unless something drastically changes which honestly I hope it does. for some reason i cant meditate lol. like no matter what i cant 😂 its so weird. and im srry that u understand not being able to sleep 😐 its just quite sad @AwesomeGirl i usually do look stuff up but it hasnt rlly been working so i wanted to ask some people. i read a book for a half hour earlier and still couldnt sleep lol so maybe books keep me awake, idk. i love listening to chill music tho, have u listened to lo-fi? u prob have but just in case u havent i suggest like a calming one for sleep bc ive used it before and it worked but now it doesnt work for me so i might as well share it w/ u 🙂 also i hope ur friend got more sleep after they stayed up the whole night @Chaty_Chun oh no i hope once school ends its less stressful for u and u can get more sleep! i havent tried melatonin in a while, at least not since i was 6 but it only worked for 3 nights and after that it never worked again 😐 but thx for the suggestion 🙂 @Stiched thx for the suggestions!! i usually like calming music and recommend lofi if u havent already listened to it before! i hope i get a restful sleep soon too lol! thx 🙂 @Firecorn ive tried being productive but it never works 😂 i end up sitting there doing nothing bc im indecisive and cant figure out what to do, but pondering makes me fall asleep soo i guess it works 🙂 my life has been boring rlly so lately there hasnt been anything to ponder about to help me fall asleep lol, but i agree, when u feel like u accomplished something it makes u more calmer bc u got something done and now ur happy 🙂 @ChaosZone I agree, audiobooks r a great way, i just dont have access to them rn but once i do i will use them 🙂 asmr works too but lately it hasnt as much unless im literally about to pass out from lack of sleep. yoga is something i like to do im just lazy most of the time and i dont have room in my room rn to do yoga and id rather do it in my room so no one sees me lol. also yea this did help thx! 🙂 @abbey10 i never thought of those kinds of videos! i actually enjoy watching that kind of stuff so thx for the suggestions!! 🙂 @liverlips man i wish that kind of stuff could make me go to sleep asap lol 😂 they would probably help so thx for the suggestions! |

Currently 5am for me and I still havent slept 😅 what has been helpful for me is a routine. Mine isnt working right now which usually means I need to change it. Anyways, doing a couple things every night to calm the body is helpful and then when I am actually ready to sleep I will shut my eyes and just countdown from 100. I usually say the numbers slowly in my head and try to visualize them or while I’m saying them in my head I will trace them on my blanket. Sometimes I sleep right away but sometimes anxiety is way strong so when I catch myself going off track I will start over again and basically repeat the process till I fall asleep

I used to have this problem a lot like when I mean a lot as I would only get 5 hours max in a week. What I did that helped was every night when I'm going to sleep I clear my head anything that stresses me or any problems throughout the day for example homework, family problems, friendship, etc. and I then just forget EVERYTHING, then close your eyes and then If you're usually feeling sleepy you'll fall asleep but if not just lay there. Hope this helps 🙂

I have this thing where I have a notepad lying around where I can put stuff down I need to think about later or what I still need to do. And then when I am lying in bed and want to think about stuff, I don’t give my brain space to do that. So I have this kind of agreement with myself that when I am in bed, relaxation is only allowed. If I need to think about stuff, I have already done that during the day and I have important stuff written down. So when I lay in bed, I focus on keeping my head empty and just not letting my mind ramble on. Usually I am sleeping within 15 minutes. Hope this helps!
