So as lots of you know I enjoy theater! My art teacher is the director and this year we are doing Charlottes web. But guess what, not only has he spelled my name wrong for the past 5 years of me being at my school even though I have corrected him and write my name on every single assignment, and he still spells it wrong 😑 , when we got our cast shirts, well what you’ll you know RubEye seriously, is it not that hard to write Rubye? I mean I came home in tears because of that. My name was the only one spelled wrong. My confidence was down to zero. And he’s one of those teachers who threatens to give us zeros if we don’t write our name. Well what’s the point when you still don’t realize you are doing it wrong.so back to the shirt. I just painted over the extra e with black and sewed the space in so it looks somewhat better. But seriously when it comes to names it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt.

I’m sorry, people spell my name wrong too. Your name is super pretty! I would suggest just correcting him and then if he still gets it wrong just go up to his desk with the paper and correct it in front of him.

Hey your not alone! My name has an extra letter then how it is normally spelled and my math teacher spells (and pronounces) it wrong. I get annoyed but I just try to correct him and not let it bother me. Hope that helped! 🙂 🙂

Oh my goodness! I have the same problem....my name is Haylee and for some reason the most common ways to spell it are Hayley or Hailee so nobody spells it right the first time! And I don't know if I think this just because it is how to spell my name but it is literally hay as in horses with a lee on the end...it is like the simplest way to spell it. Anyways I am sorry this keeps happening...maybe you could tell another teacher about it...

Maybe you could talk to your school's administration about this. As a teacher myself, I often refer to how the school spells it, and frequent misspelling is often a result of it being misspelled in the school's database.
