Hi everyone who is reading this! Sometimes, I get a little annoyed when someone does something wrong in a volleyball match. What's your biggest volleyball pet peeve?

Uhhh I don't actually play volleyball but it was our last unit in gym class (also my favorite unit) and this girl kept kicking the ball to the other team.... this is not soccer, volleyball does not require anything to do with your feet! The only thing you do with your feet is run! So yeah I guess that's mine

One thing that always annoys me is when they try to spike the ball over as hard as possible, but just end up hitting the ball out. Like, if you can't control the ball, don't hit it out, you couldn't tipped it right over the blocker and the back row person wouldn't have got it cause they were so far back.Another one is when I play with people who don't really know how to play, but think they can just because they watch a lot of volleyball on tv. They try to be fancy and everything, when all they really need is to practice and get their basics and foundation down before they can get all fancy and try to pancake and spike and stuff like that. I mean if you can't really pass and all you want to do is hit the ball really hard, you can't really have a game. Sorry for the little rant, I've been playing volleyball for about 10 years, and my friends just got into it, so we play every weekend and they don't want to learn the basics before we start playing, so it's basically us chasing the ball after getting the ball over once and not really having a good rally. Or it's one person hitting the ball right back over forgetting they have teammates and 3 touches. |

When someone yells that they got the ball (In tournaments or games) and then just stands there expecting someone else to. Like get movin’, you just called the ball

I also find it so frustrating when someone tells me not to do something just because they can’t and they don’t think it’s fair, (such as overhand serving) like u have played for years. Let me do it the way I can.

Thanks everyone for sharing! I actually have volleyball games every Saturday, and I just came back from one. We played 4 sets but didn't win any. This is the 4th game me and my team have ever played, so we're still learning 😅 The last 3 times we won 1 set. 🎉

When someone serves the ball in between you and someone else... and they don't know how to say the words "mine" or "yours"

When the hitters blame the setter for a bad set when it was because the back row didn't pass well. Also when the setter sets very well off a crappy pass and nobody even notices
