people say that you have to post valuable content and all that stuff, but like it’s automated by the site so you just kinda be on it

You advance to the next rank by staying active on the site. Being active can be adding friends, making variations, posting photos and patterns, typing in chat, posting in forums, etc. With ranks, I don't know all the advantages but I do know that you can post more variations within 24 hours. Also, the higher your rank the more freedom of rating. For example the lower the rank the higher you can rate, example bracelet king can rate 1-5 stars, the one below can rate 2-5 stars, etc. The highest rank for users is Bracelet King which some people call Bracelet Queen, this excludes mods, super-mods, and admin, Hope this helped you out, happy knotting!
