So um my question is how do I prevent acne? I get it a lot on my chin and forehead even tho I don’t have bangs. My current routine is washing my face every time I shower, then moisturizer. And on Sunday I do a charcoal roll on mask. After all of that, I still get like the 2nd most acne in the grade. I don’t really care, I just don’t like it. Tips??

helloI can't give you advice so that you follow it to the letter since every skin is different, but it would help you to go to an appointment with a dermatologist |

My mom used to get me an acne lotion type of thing, I’m not sure what brand it was, but basically I would rub it on the acne and it would help it go away much faster

I have terrible acne, and I’ve had it for years. my advice is to wash it with a gentle face wash (there’s decent brands at most drug stores and similar) every morning and night, and use the moisturizer once a day (I’ve heard it’s better to use at night). DON’T pick at your skin. I have a terrible habit of it and it makes my acne so much worse, and it stays longer. try your very best not to pick at it, even when it seems like it would help. if it’s really bad for you, maybe try visiting a dermatologist. they can prescribe medicine to help clear it up. other than that, it’s almost impossible to tell what can help, since there’s so many different skin types. best of luck to you!

I would say just continue what you are doing and every couple of hours put lotion on your face

Face wash and not picking reduces it. You have to do tons of stuff to get rid of it.I just do the first two and it got way better over the years, so patience I guess. And don’t feel embarrassed about it, cause just about everyone deals with it at some point. |

Ughhhh I hate acne!!! I have it so bad, but it’s totally my fault because I always forget (and I’m lazy) to wash my face. But I use clear proof by Mark Kay And it does work (haha when I actually use it) 😄 |

Ok. like it was said above. not everything i say is going to be accurate. no one has the same type of skin and our bodies regulate differently. The key fact is knowing what your body does.so it produces oils so your skin doesn't like crack and fall off (not really but you get what i mean) and sometimes it gets built up and it plugs the pore which... creates acne. One way you can get rid of this is washing your face, or doing other skin treatment. However... If you strip your face of oils... you body is like "I NEED MORE OIL" and it will produce more oil on your face... you have to find the right balance of stripping your face of the oil and then putting enough but not too much that you break out.... For me... i ran an experiment since my sister said it was impossible not to wash your face. I only wash my face in the shower (ever day) but i don't scrub it to death.... anywho. So the only things i did (effecting my face) was shower, i wear a mask 2-3 hours a day, and i did that for a week. and my face was normal (no breakout) and then she made me do her routine... which like... took hours and hours, and then after a week i completely broke out.. LOL. she did my routine and she broke out... so it's really up to how your body functions... so now that you know information and my pointless story... how to solve it. DRINK WATER. idk if you drink like 44 OZ a day. DRINK MORE. OKAY?!?!?! it will help promote skin hydration, and even if it doesn thelp acne... it does other wonders for your body just go search some of them up! -talk to your parents -talk to a dermatologist -oil free face lotion - stridex pads (they can help get rid of acne in 12 hours-2 days, it really helps) it dries out the spot and takes the oils away -use less product on your face. if you decide to use a different prodcut then what you are used to. SLOWLY introduce it to your skin. Imagine you lounging in a nice hot tub right where you want to be and then you are like dipped in some ice water. Your skin can go into "shock" and start making your face into an oil company (lol sorry with this really bad analog) when you introduce it make sure you aren't going to breakout with acne or rashes in that area. you can put a little onto your cheek or neck, but def do not do it on your whole face the whole time. you can also get acne from stress, so exercising can help with stress. and when i mean exercising i don't mean like hardcore mileage running or weight lifting, im talkin like a walk in the park or skateboarding or taking a dog on a walk, or jump roping (do people do that these days? lol) So if you can lower that you might see an improvement. lol Just know to, drink water, talk to your parents about seeing a dermatologist, everyone skin is different, and you are beautiful just the way you are acne or not. |

Wash your masks I swear I started to get acne on my chin because of wearing masks and acne on the forehead can be because of stress so try to do some grounding exercises to calm you down and wash your pillow cases at least once every week

So, I don't get acne on my face, I get it on my shoulders and arms. But I think it depends on your body and how much oil you produce on a normal basis. Here's a few methods I've heard that work on everyone though.Face masks- you can get Biore face strips, which pull the gunk and sebum out your skin. If you have sensitive skin, make sure to put a lock-in moisturizer before, or use something hydrating after. Pore vacuums- these are kinda gross, but they shake the gunk out your acne. Acne patches-they drain the white stuff out of acne within 2-24 hours. Panoxyl- this isn't something you should use everyday or if you have sensitive skin. It's a bleaching acne wash for people who scar, and my dermatologist suggested it to me. So you should ask a doctor about it. Just drink a lot of water, keep your face clean and moisturized, follow a routine, and hopefully it'll go better. |

To prevent pimples try not touching your face very often and don’t pop them, drink lots of water and healthy foods. Also, don’t use too much products on your face.

I mean, to prevent acne I would suggest try not to touch your face (especially if your hands aren't clean because that puts the germs on your face and creates more) and wash your face at least once a day. (I do it twice) Normal soaps can actually clog your pores and not really do much for acne so you could just use water or get a specific wash that is designed not to clog or wash away all your face oils. It's hard, BUT DON"T PICK POKE JAB OR SQUEEZE For having it at the moment, and trying to get rid of it, that's a little harder. I still recommend the same stuff, but you might want to try a treatment instead of just washing depending on how bad it is or how much it bothers you. Different treatments might not work on certain people or depending on how bad the acne is. It can also be because of puberty (depending on your age or if that's happened yet) I am currently using CeraVe (although I have tried a few others) and it seems to be working although there are probably better treatments out there. I would not know. I'm not an expert at this, I just have a little bit of experience (unfortunately) Hope this helps! ❤️ 👍 |

I use a thing called “differin gel” it cleaned up my acne in 2-3 days, but on the 4 day my face was SUPER dry I could rub my skin and little dead skin cells would flake of and if I put anything on it it would burn really really bad. So I only put it on one or two zits not my whole face. Also eating healthy and sometimes taking dairy out of your diet helps a lot too. Working out helps me a lot too just with the hormonal acne and stuff. I hope this helps !!!!!!!!!!😁😁😁
