I typically don't cut the string. I keep it on a bobbin or in the skein that way I won't have to add in moreif you want you can cut a length like 4 ft or something and then if you need more you just "color switch" it in (don't know correct terminology) |

I usually make it a wingspan. It doesn’t actually matter how long it is, you’ll just need to replace it more often the shorter it is. I don’t go over a wingspan because then it’s harder to work with and it gets tangled more often.

I keep it on a bobbin (but I would recommend putting tape on it to keep the string from popping out of the slot)

What I normally do for the background is I just use the whole thing of sting as then u don't need to worry abt not having enough or cutting to much. Hope that helped❤️
