So my moms birthday is in July (i know, its a longggg time away) and im a huge procrastinator and dont really like starting new bracelets, so im gonna start making a wall hanging of a movie she loves, and the thing is, i dont have enough embroidery string, so will there be a big difference if i use normal yarn instead???

like yarn that you knit with?? I mean I have never tried doing it with yarn but if you wanna test it out on a smaller simple alpha maybe you could do that or you can buy some more embroidery floss before you start...hope this helps lol 😂

Hello, if you are going to use cotton or acrylic knitting thread, you must take into account that the knots will make the tapestry bigger as well.

I don’t know if you’ve already started your wall hanging yet but I’ve used normal yarn for wall hangings before and it turned out great!

I’ve used yarn in all my wall hangings. Make sure you have a thin yarn (11 ply or 8ply) and experiment with different yarns so u can get the hang of it!

You would have to make sure it is very thin. Yarn doesn't work too well with any pattern. It might work if you used it as base strings, but for the knotting strings, I would still get embroidery floss.
