Hi so my Pinterest acct is literally based off a character by rick riordan (the percy jackson author) and i can happily say reading percy jackson is the best book decision i have ever made. I've read pretty much all of Ricks work, and he is my favorite author. The first Percy Jackson book is basically Percy discovering his origins and why his dad was never around etc. The first book is kinda difficult with remembering all the names of the greek deitys, but at theend of each book is a character glossary, which really helps. It is about a quest Percy, Annabeth, and Grover go on to find the Lightning Thief. Its very addicting and once you start you can't stop, so if you end up reading and liking this series i am sorry, because once you're in there is no escape. There is also a sequel series to the Percy Jackson series, called the Heroes of Olympus. After that is the newest series, the Trials of Apollo. There is also other series such as Magnus Chase (norse gods) and the Kane Chronicles (egyptian gods). All of his books are lgbtq+ friendly (with at least 2 canon lgbtq+ ships and a lot of lgbtq characters) and there are a lot of different races and cultures included. That was a lot, sorry, hope this helps in some way

I REALLY LOVE The Hunger Games 😍 It's very creative. (somewhat spoiler alert for the first book): It's set in the future so there's a lot of stuff that's different form now. FOR EXAMPLE these kids get chosen to to play in THE HUNGER GAMES which is a traditional thing they do. (won't say too much) but basically the chosen people have to survive in this crazy out-in-the-wild place and be the last one standing. They can steal supplies from this thing (it's called the Cornucopia) but if you dont get a hold of anything, you have to find your own food in the wild, and know what's not poisonous and stuff. Also you have to watch out for everyone else.... AKA the kids (teens not little kids) kinda have to kill each other in the end to be the last one alive. I'm so bad at explaining this, so that probably sounded disgusting to most people reading this and you most likely don't want to have anything to do with these books but TRUST ME. THEY. ARE. AMAZING. yeah, I know that different people like different things and thats totally fine, but I just think that it's really well written and very exiting. My brother read the books and told me it was really good and I SO didn't believe him and I wasn't even gonna read it. So he read me the first page to help me see what it was like so then I finally decided to read it and LET ME TELL YOU. That night I stayed up SO LATE READING AND I NEVER WANTED TO PUT THE BOOK DOWN. I finished that book in a few days. I literally begged my brother for the next book (he owned a copy) cause I loved it so much. There's also a romance between two of the players (one is the main character) who are supposed to be ( KiLLinG ) each other. It isn't like a horror story or anything, I'm making it sound worse than it is lol. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I wanna give enough info so you know what it'll be abt. 😍 😍 😍 😍 A LOT more happens and also there's two more books and then the fourth one is back in time. It's really cool 🤯 🤯 Lol sry I prob sound like a weirdo trying so hard to convince people to read this, but I just really love it |

I've read the first series of Percy Jackson and enjoyed it. It was very fast paced. I'm not planning on ready the other series though, because a reliable source said that they aren't as good. I would totally recommend the series Redwall and I'm reading The Rangers Apprentice series, and I'm really enjoyed it. As far as language and sex, Redwall just had some creative name calling and no sex stuff, the Rangers Apprentice series has some language and just a relationship between the main character and a girl. Hope this helps! 😊

lol. i read your forum topic as "I don't know how to read (kinda)" LOL. maybe i don't know how to read 😂 😂but honestly I think the last series i truly read and think most people enjoy is "land of stories" its like these 2 twins get sucked into a fairy land world with like red riding and goldilocks and whatever, but it's not really little kid. It's adventures and the whole thing is really well put together. |

Ok so you should definitely read Percy Jackson. It is really good. @Czarxasm don't judge based on what a website says. Heroes of Olympus is SOOO GOOD.

Keeper of the Lost Cities is a great series and it's pretty long so it should keep you busy for a while.
