So... I saw a lot of people on braceletbook said that they read Percy Jackson, I read a lot of others books and wanted to start a new series, but should I read this one? I have no idea if I should read Percy Jackson or read another series instead, so I thought maybe you guys can help give some suggestions 😅 hope you don't mind (:

Also, can you tell me about the books, like, what is the first book's name, "spoilers" (like, kind of a summary), etc.

Here are suggestions( disclaimer some are religious; I am not, but have read some books)Christian Heroes: Then & Now by Janet and Geoff Benge. They are biographies on Christians, there are some interesting ones. For example there is one on Paul Brand who made a lot of advances in treating leprosy. Heroes of History by Janet & Geoff Benge. Biographies on Americans viewed as heroes A Life of Faith( they are based on the Elsie Dinsmore series by Martha Finley). I would start with Millie’s Unsettled Season. Read all the Millie, then the Laylie one, the Elsie ones( first couple are sad, one made me cry which I think is the only book that has ever done that to me), and lastly the Violet ones. However, these books can be religious to the point even Christians soul find them cheesy. That’s all I can think of |

I read Percy Jackson back when I was in seventh grade and I loved it a lot; although I can't remember that much, I remember enjoying the series so much, as well as the Heroes of Olympus series that came next. Other recommendations I have are: The Song of Achilles -- this is more Greek mythology, so you can imagine why I enjoyed reading it, and I think it followed the life of Achilles through the point of view of another hero named Patroclus. I think it was an adult book though, so yeah-- A Series of Unfortunate Events -- this series, just mmmmmm *chefs kiss*. It follows the life of the three Baudelaire children, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, who's parents were mysteriously killed in a fire. They are then adopted by the evil count Olaf who they realise is the one who killed their parents to get their money, but they can't prove it to anyone. Although it's a series for youth, man, I loved rereading this (and, on top of that, Netflix did an AMAZING job doing the tv adaptation so do watch that if you read the books). The Maze Runner Series -- This was another series I read back in junior high, and it's a dystopian universe, similar to the worlds of the Hunger Games or Divergent. So, basically, the world is dead, it's too hot to live outside due to the sun flares, and on top of that, a deadly disease was unleashed among the remaining humans that make them go insane then eventually die. But, some people are immune to this disease, and scientists rounded them up and started testing them to find the cure. They are put in the Maze with no memory of their past(only their first name), and they have to find a way to get out. **oof I'm not really good at writing good summaries heh** Turtles All the Way Down -- This book is about a girl who has anxiety and OCD, and is written by the same author as The Fault in Our Stars, ma man John Green. Ughhhh I can stress how much I loved reading this boooooooooooook! Aza Holmes in the protagonist and she explains what she goes through with her anxiety, while she and her friend Daisy searches for her neighbour's billionairefather who's now a fugitive. I don't think he even mentioned the word OCD in the whole book but he wrote it so well that you figure it out yourself. I think I'll stop here 🤪 But lemme know what you thinkkkkkk ❤️ |

I’m OBSESSED with the Shadowhunter chronicles by Cassandra Clare. It’s about these teenagers called Shadowhunters who hunt and kill demons. I would classify it as fantasy. I’m not sure how old you are but the recommended age is 14+. There are some mature topics (like relationships and death) so be cautious if you haven’t read books with things like that.

@knot_maker I was hesitant to read the percy jackson series too, but eventually I started it and I was hooked. I would suggest giving it a try, maybe reading the first book and seeing if you want to continue. But I would totally recommend it, its really good. Aaand I am starting the shadow hunters series soon but my friend who has read it told me it may be age inappropriate, so take that into consideration. And here are some good book series • The Kane Chronicles • The Lunar Chronicles • Mr. Lemoncello's Library • The Land of Stories |

I agree with @Jdog12525 Shaodwhunters is one of my favourite series ever. There’s loads of series and trilogies set inside the same world and they all overlap slightly and it’s really fun to see when a character from another series pops up in the one you are currently reading. Once you read one of the books and get to grasp at the world a little it’s really easy to get immersed in it and forget everything around you. The writing style is also gorgeous with really relatable and diverse characters.
