hey everyone! i want to expand my musical tastes a little, so please recommend some bands i should check out! i already listen to the strokes, arctic monkeys, interpol, the voidz, sex pistols, the clash, and sonic youth, so anything similar to those artists would be great!

Okay soooo i listen to a lot of screamo/metalcore/emo stuff, which is kinda similar to what u listed but not the same. I recommend Black Veil Brides, Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, All Time Low, Palaye Royale, Tonight Alive, Weezer, and Bring Me The Horizon (but older songs) lemme know if u decide to listen and which one u like the most!

@johnlauren i actually used to listen to most of those bands! i was a big ptv fan back in the day 👀. i kinda moved on from it though. i would love to get back into them again, so thank you so much for your recommendations!

Thats really cool!! If you've listened to palaye royale before i will honestly be surprised cuz they're not incredibly well known, but if u haven't i definitely think u should! Also i dont know a lot of people with my music taste, so u mind me asking ur favorite ptv song?

@johnlauren i’ve listened to palaye royale too! i forgot to say that in my last message lol. as for ptv, i really liked caraphernelia and fast times at clairemont high a lot. i’ve only heard maybe one or two palaye royale songs, but they were really good! plus, i like the whole vibe of their fashion!

Oh thats cool!! Caraphernalia is honestly a sad song to me so whenever i hear it i just kinda stop what im doing to think lol. I also really like Yeah Boy and Doll Face. (my current pfp is of two palaye members btw🤣)

Some of my absolute favorites are Green Day, Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, Dead By Sunrise, The F-Ups, Sum 41, and Nirvana
