I have friends who still obsess over it, but i stopped caring a few weeks after it came out. It just depends on your perspective i think

I would say kinda. I looked at 5up's channel, and its still getting around 200k-300k views per video. But he used to get 600k-1 million. So I would say as a trend it is dead, but it is still can be considered a popular game.
