My sister took my favorite putty and left it out to dry. I already tell her she is not allowed in my room. She comes in, then proceeds to steal, and then destroys it by letting it dry out. My parents won't do anything about it, and she is just going to do it again. What should I do? |

Honestly as someone who can relate to this what I do is if my sibling is doing stuff like that or trying to get me in trouble. Do the same things. If she’s really young like around 1-5 maybe have a talk with her and explain to her. If she’s around the 3rd grade range id just keep telling your parents. Or pull your sibling to the side and explain why they shouldn’t do that. (Sorry if they aren’t a girl, I forgot if you said they were in your post)

hmm my little sister also does that kind of stuff which annoys me soooo much.here's what I did: -i hid everything that is important to me - i stopped telling her to not go into my room (if you tell them then they continue to do it because they want to annoy you lol) after a while they (might) stop since they wont find fun in annoying you but it might not work since everyone's siblings are different. hope your sibling stops bothering youu 😄 |

Just talk to her. Nicely tell her to please not touch your stuff without your permission or to ask first. I have the same problem like the exact same problem. sometimes they touch my stuff either way so I just hide things that are important or put them somewhere they can’t reach. Also if you do let her use something make sure she knows to put it back where it was. Something that really worked for me was when they had playdough or something like that I would take a little piece and show them what happens when they leave it out. They would see it got hard and they couldn’t play with it anymore now they don’t leave it out.

Just hide the things important to you and stop telling her not to go in her room. I dunno it worked on my older brother...

It depends how old she is. If she is pretty young showing her the dried putty and explaining what happened might at least convince her to put it back.Maybe also do rewards like “if you ask before you use my putty and put it away I’ll give you a present after a week.” It could be a simple candy stripe you let her pick the colors for, a putty you don’t really like anymore, a fun chapstick, a piece of candy, a old stuff animal, etc. In my experience rewards usually work the best. |

Maybe hide your favorite ones in a shoe box on a high shelf or under clothes in your drawers. You could also hide all of them too, I wouldn’t judge 😉 |

if parents dont do anything, do something not very nice (NOT in front of parents) then make her get revenge INFRONT OF YOUR PARENTSits not very nice but it works |
