A rag-rug is one of the many possibilities. You could also use them for base strings when doing Alpha's, or you could even use them to make a Peruvian Wave bracelet. If you really don't like the colours to make a bracelet out of, and you are someone who considers themselves a perfectionist and find faults in everything (like I am!) then you could keep those colours and use them to practice/correct common mistakes/try out new techniques/etc with. |

i really don’t like the colour pink much but one of my friends does. what i do is i make some bracelets or something featuring said colour and save them so when it comes to bday or christmas they have a little collection of pink bracelets etc. hope this helps!

When i have an ugly color, i usually use it as a base or make it a thread that won't be seen example: #42849 you don't see the 2 sides so yeah!

@KLCatLady a rag rug is an alpha made up of mostly scrap thread with loose ends. Pattern #36730 has photos if you want a visual example!

I usually use ugly colors for base strings in alpha bracelets. Or find a pattern that uses that color (like for shading or a shadow) which I find usually are ugly colors anyway. 😄
