So I've done a few of the bigger patterns on the site (visit my profile if you're curious to see) and I plan to do many more and I'm just curious how I might potentially sell them and how I would price them in a way that's fair to any buyers and also fair to me for the amount of work I put into it. Thanks for reading. 🙂

I sell my bracelets on Etsy. I like to sell certain patterns/themes but if you want to look into it more sparkyourdesire is a shop on etsy that might be more in your line. they make bracelets and then sell that bracelet. they dont make them as the orders come in.

As for pricing, string isn't too expensive so you dont have to worry about charging an incredibly large amount, there's a website by online-stopwatch called cash clock. it for artists. you set your rate per hour (default is $10/hour) and then run it while you're working on the bracelet. It will tell you how much the item cost in your time. For expenses, I generally charge about $1.50 (give or take about $.50) for materials cause while i dont use a whole skein, i use many colors.

Hope this helped! I'd post the link to the clock but we aren't allowed to post website cause of spam.

Yes this helps... I've looked into etsy and I think that would be a good place to go but I was really unsure about pricing so I didn't start an account there yet. I roughly time my projects like it takes about 3 hours to finish a regular bracelet but I favor the larger alpha patterns and those take roughly 20 to 24 hours so those would be fairly expensive... Maybe I could come up with a flat rate or something... Thanks 🙂

Oh jeez yeah that would be quite expensive haha. Ive been looking into it and it seems like most alpha patterns etsy are priced between 8 and 13 dollars

I've found that for the more complicated bracelets, people charge up to $30, but if people were willing to pay the same rate per hour for large bracelets as the small ones, they'd be paying $50 to $100 for some bracelets.

I do regular bracelets sometimes but lately I've been doing the patterns that have 100 back strings, 100 rows down. People I work with (they make crafts as well) have called them small wall tapestries and they keep encouraging me to try to sell them but I have like zero sales experience and also very little confidence that people will want to buy my stuff... I'm currently setting up an etsy shop because it doesn't hurt to try I suppose lol
