I can try and help lol but currently I am failing math....my school is actually going to school right now but I keep getting quarantined...all I have to say is that math is hard to learn when you don't have a teacher right in front of you but it is what it is...I will definitely be using this forum tho..btw I am n 10th grade so the queston may be a little hard lol.

The sidelengths of the state flag of Colorado are in the ratio 2 : 3 If a flag is 12 feet long, what is its height? Help! Answer ASAP!! Pls |

@89-woofIf the dimensions are in the ratio 2 : 3, this means that one side is 2/3 the size of the other size. Since it's a flag, it means the height is 2/3 of the length. You said the length is 12 feet long, so you have to find what is 2/3 of 12. I'll let you find the answer by yourself 🙂 |

@89-woof 2/3 is a fraction that is smaller than one (approx 0,66), so if you multiply 2/3 by 12 you should have a number smaller than 12. You can use a calculator to multiply 2/3 and 12. You can also image 12 as a fraction (12/1) and multiply both fraction. You multiply the numerator together (2 x 12 = 24) and then the denominator together (3 x 1 = 3), and then you divide the numerator (24) by the denominator (3). 24 divided by 3 equals 8. |
