I know a lot of people on this site are Christians, and I'd just like to say that I don't really have a religion any more because I just feel like.... God doesn't exist. I still go to church an stuff but I don't really listen any more. Does anyone else feel the same way? I guess I've just stopped being a Christian, I don't read the bible and I don't even listen to Christian music anymore. Plus, I lie a lot, so much it doesn't make me guilty anymore. I just feel like God isn't really helping me with anything.

I'm not Christian, but I don't really feel connected with my religion, and I never have.

@impersonat I feel the same way, the only part of my life it felt real was maybe when I was 12 but otherwise I just think of it as something my family wants

I don't really have a religion. I used to go to church when I was around 10 years old but we only went for about a year. But I do believe in god. I feel that everyone at least needs to believe in something even if it's not true, believing in something, some times helps you believe in your self.

If asked I would describe myself as an ex-catholic, lax, liberal Christian living in a town of mostly conservative Christians. I was raised catholic (in a town where lots of people are pretty anti-catholic) but never felt like I was really a part of the church. A few years ago I'd just had enough of the overall lack of tolerance and acceptance of, well, anyone who wasn't catholic. Particularly LGBT people, that really got to me. I still count myself as Christian, but just barely. I feel there's definitely a god though. It's just the only explanation for some things. But I think, whatever you choose to believe, that's your choice, and nobody has the right to criticize you for it.

I am a Jain.. ( u might have to search it up to find out) but I guess I don't fit In that much either- for example, most of my Jain friends fast during festivals, etc and learn the prayer and all but I don't really do that much. Although I believe in some kind of spiritual force , it is not always God. Sometimes it is my conscience or karma or something else. So don't worry- if you work hard and value everything, you will be happy . Don't be dependent on someone for your happiness. I also want to say: if I have unintentionally hurt, offend or criticize religion or a person , my apologies.

I am what my parents and high school teachers (read "nuns") would call a shopping cart catholic. I was raised catholic and i believe in some core beliefs like the Eucharist and our stance on the Virgin Mary and the saints and stuff and I really like that we have confession... but where I differentiate from traditional Catholicism is that I find they are a little too harsh and judgemental even though they claim not to be. I believe that God is Love and he made us to love. He also made LGBT people so putting two and two together I believe in same sex marriage. I have issue with the fact that they preach a lot of fire and brimestone when they should be preaching love and tolerance.

so i guess the TL,DR version is Im catholic for the sacraments but pure christian for the love
