What can I do with hemp cord?

I got a lot of hemp cord and like strings other than embroidery thread for Christmas and have no idea what to do with them. I also was given lots of beads and I have a huge pile so any ideas of how I can quickly use them up would be appreciated.

i like to make square knot bracelets with hemp cord. you can also string beads onto the cord to spell out names or words. you could also make keychains with it too. another idea is to use the cord to practice macramé if that’s something you’re interested in.

@plant-dad what is the cord that people use to make macrame called? Also I like the idea of doing square knot bracelets with beads.

i don’t think it really has a specific name. i’ve only seen it called macrame cord. it’s usually made of cotton, and you can find it at most craft stores. i also like square knot bracelets! i haven’t made any in a long time, so i’m a little out of practice.
