I have two size 6 gauges (1 in each ear) 2 hoops in my left ear, 2 studs in my right, a tongue piercing, a nose piercing, and 4 tattoos, soon to be 5 🙂I have a quote on my left shoulderblade that goes with one my sister has, my birth flower on my right shoulderblade with vines, a big watercolor one on my left side that a friend painted for me, and a cupcake on my right calf. I'm getting a slice of cake on the back of my left calf soon to go with it. |

@Lily99 It doesn't hurt very much! They make a mark with a marker, you check to see if it's where you want (centered), and then you lay down. The piercer who did mine got me to lay on a table and put a small metal tube in my nose to make sure the needle didn't go to far. 1, 2, breathe, and it's done =) The jewelry I have for my piercing makes it easy to change the gem when and if I want to, so that helps too. Just be careful with makeup and cleaning your face, and it's super easy to take care of! |

@caffec Thanks! I'll keep all that in mind if I ever get a nose piercing. I've got at least a few years to think about it, because my dad would NOT approve.

@Lily99 Try and find a place that sells H2Ocean Spray, it's usually in mall kiosks or at places that do piercings. It's a blue aerosol can with Poseidon on it, it's pretty much just salt water. It's a lot better to use than hydrogen peroxide, and as long as you clean your piercings properly with it, that should keep them from getting infected 😄

@Lily99 It was probably hydrogen pyroxide or saline. Also, if you ever get your ears pierced again (if they aren't right now), you should find a place that uses piercing needles, not the gun. The gun can't be cleaned properly, and that can actually set you up even easier for an infection. The needles are used only once and are always sterile. 😄

I found that when I pierced my own ears using a needle they healed WAAYYY faster than the piercings I got with a gun. I think that the gun does a little damage to your ear, and it takes longer for the piercing to heal.

@caffec @Mermaid12 Ok, I'll make sure I do that!! I'm hoping to get a second piercing in my ears fairly soon (still trying to convince my dad) so that's good to know. Can't wait till I'm out of the house and have a bit more freedom with tattoos and piercings.
