so my friend was saying i shouldent be friends with someone just cause my parents have never met him ( they know who he is tho) and i blocked her cause she was getting mad at me and saying really mean things about him and know idk what to do.

Okay well in that case. You can be friends with whoever you want or whoever you feel comfortable around. If your parents don't know them personally but know of them then it's completely fine. You don't need someone to tell you who you can or can't be friends with. If your friend is against it then it's up to you whether you wanna make that friendship last or not. Whoever you become friends isn't up to them. It's up to you.

I feel like you can be friends with whoever you want as long as they make you the best you, you can be....honestly my parents could care less about my friends...and I am sure the person who is not being nice to you about it didn't know your parents right away.

as long as the person you want to be friends with isn't hurting you, then it's fine. If your other friend is controlling who you should and shouldn't be friends with, that person isn't a true friend.

How come this topic has 9 posts and 152 views...I think you should be friends with whoever you want. Do your parents need to meet everybody you want to be friends with before you can actually become friends? No, because why would your parents meet them if they weren't your friend? You get to choose your friends. Because they're YOUR friends. If the girl that told you that you shouldn't be friends with someone, maybe you shouldn't be friends with her. I think you did the right thing to block her when she was being mean. If she makes you upset, that's not a friend. Remember, the smaller the circle, the better! 😊 |
