Hello everyone! For the longest time, I have been using tape to secure the top of my thread when beginning a new pattern. While this works well when I am going to do crimped ends or add ties later on, it does not really work well when I make a loop and tape it down. Does anybody have any alternative ways of securing a loop when beginning a new pattern? Thanks in advance!

clip board, or a book and binder clips or use more secure tape.

I usually use a clipboard but sometimes it leaves an indent in my loop which I don't really like. But I haven't found any other methods that secure it as well as a clipboard so I just deal with it 😂

You can use a safety pin to pin it to a pillowcase, a bag, your jeans,... you get the idea

You can use a clip board, or you can put a pin throught the loop to attach it to something
