Hey, so I was wondering if anyone uses any sort of spray or something to make their bracelets/other embroidery floss creations last longer? My friend suggested I use shellac but I am not sure if that is a good idea. Any other ideas?

One time I saw somewhere that someone put tacky on the back of it but the glue was like mixed with water or something. I've never tried it or heard if it worked or not. Idk it probably helps keep the knots held together 🙂 I'm not 100% sure though I hope that I sorta helped =D

cool, thanks for letting me know. I just hate how bracelets fade if you wear them 24/7

me too!!!! and ur welcome and one reason that my bracelets fade is because i wore them in the pool and the chlorine faded them... i make mine nit so tight so when i go swimming i can take them off and then just slide them on 🙂

I keep mine by my jewelry corner (it's really big because I also make beaded stuff) when I'm not wearing them.

hmmmm. Maybe you could put a dot of glue on the start and finish knots and then any other "problem knots" and make sure that you don't wear them into the pool...

Are you trying to prevent dirt and such, or just trying to make the thread itself last longer? I know cotton as a fiber tends to break down when it's wet, it's just what it does. Keeping it out of the shower and pool will extend a bracelet's life. You could add a buckle to it to make it easier to get on and off. (I know that doesn't solve the not having to take it off problem, though...)

If u don't get them wet they last A LOT longer! When I get them wet the knots get loose and the colors fade easily.🙂

Use Allen’s stiffening spray I use it for my cheer bows and bracelets so now you do t have to take them off 🙂
