Macrame Cat Collars?

Has anyone ever tried making cat/dog collars with macramé friendship bracelets? I'm considering playing around with it and seeing what works but I don't know where I can get the parts. Does anybody know where I can get the right size buckles without cutting them out of another collar?

i got a pack of black clips off of ebay for about eight dollars.just search up plastic clasps on ebay.

I found some of those plastic black clips at Michaels and they have them in multiple colors: red, green, blue, black... for 2.50. They have 4 completed ( paired ) buckles per/for set.
