I was in my hot tub when my dog was sprayed and she started shaking and foaming up in her mouth and I quickly could smell it i had run inside. I showered but the whole house was smelling like burnt garlic and it was horrible. I was with my mom but was closer to where my dog was. I felt horribly sick and my eyes burned overall I was terrified. My dad wasn't even home so my mom had to get him while I was inside my house and my dog was drooling everywhere on our porch. Overall it was absolutely horrible and my kitchen was unbearable. Luckily the remedies on google worked I will never again be outdoors at night near a skunk. Seeing my dog sick terrified me. And my dog has been fine outdoors for years she even came near one a while ago. Basically I was around less than 4 meters away and experienced the full affects. I never though it could happen but it did. Now it's 12 am and I still smell like burnt garlic. Oh and no one else got sick but me. My dog is fine I'm fine now I guess besides a sore throat. All in all this is just a warning skunk spray will travel far and just stench everything. Not even a shower helped. Tip use vinegar to neutralize it. And keep the light on at night so a skunk never sprays your dog. Because I'm now terrified of skunks 😫

@49Horses yes it was very interesting and annoying believe me skunk odor is way worse then when you walk by an area where a skunk was and it smells bad. It’s like a burnt garlic

yuck! my dad told me this story: his close friend was injured and was on bed rest in his house. when he heard like screeching turns out it was skunks fighting under their house. the sprayed all over the house and the poor guy on bed rest had to stay in his house for a week with that terrible smell : (

@49Horses ugh I cannot imagine that. It was 10:30 at night when My dog was sprayed and I was close by so I kind of was sprayed too. But I cannot imagine having a skunk fighting under my house while being stuck there. I had to sit out front to get away from it how did they manage it?
