hiiiii am getting surgery tomorrow for the blockage in my nose and i’m literally terrified lol i do struggle with anxiety, but i feel like anyone would be nervous! i am just nervous for the anesthesia!! my sister is training to be an anesthesiologist and she reassured me, but i need people who have had surgery to make me feel calm! so, to those of you who have had surgery, what should i expect? |

I've never had surgery but I know people who have and they said that it feels really quick. Like one second they're giving you the anesthetic and then next you're awake again. Like time travel 😂 You have nothing to worry about, it's natural to be nervous at first but you won't feel a thing and it will be over before you know it 😊

It’s not bad. Idk if they will use the mask or a shot but either way it’s quick and painless. I’ve had one surgery and 3 other things done where I had to get anesthesia. It’s super duper fast.

I get super nervous about this too! Don't freak yourself out cause its really not that bad. I felt super groggy for a few hours and my throat was dry but that was the worst of it 😊

@chkntaters @Hazel23 @Smileyalot thank you guys so much!! the surgery went well and they even played my favorite song as i drifted off (or at least that’s what they told me cause i don’t remember anything LOL)

@angeldior I'm happy it went well! The first time I went under they asked me what my dog's name was and I swear i answered but they never heard me 😂 The second time I was super anxious and they told me it "wasn't the anesthesia" and the next thing i remember i was waking up.

I’ve had surgery, they will most likely give you a pill to take before the anesthesia that would help with the anxiety. Being under anesthesia feels like nothing, almost as if you just closed your eyes and took a little nap. Good luck!! I hope every thing goes well!!

I had surgery a few months ago and I was fine right until I had to go away to get anesthesia and then I got super super anxious because they wouldn’t let my mom in because of the pandemic but they had already told us that she would be allowed in and then she wasn’t so I had a panic attack, but then it was fine, it goes by really quickly and doesn’t hurt at all.
