Matthew is where I started 🙂 It’s beginning of the New Testament... Probably the best place to start in my opinion

i mean starting with genesis always gives you a good start because it’s the beginning i recommend starting there but if you don’t want to i found Matthew as a book that was very powerful😊

I would read through the New Testament first the gospels (Matthew, mark, Luke and John) they give lots of insight to Jesus’s life and his cruxifixction. I would also say romans too! If you want something to encourage your reading I would recommend either a study journal or some stores have these coloring bibles. They come with bible verses on most pages to colour on the sides and coloring them as oh read can really help! Revelation is a really confusing book but don’t let that stop you from reading it. You might also find that bible journaling in a journal or bible helps too. I love to bible journal. Message me to talk! I love talking about the gospel and am very passionate about Christian music and spreading the gospel. I know a lot because my mom is a children’s minister and the youth pastor at my church has a degree is historical theology based on the Bible so I’ve learned a lot over the years! 😇

And yeh genesis obviously is the first book but it’s not meant to be always read first. So I recommend starting with the gospels or romans or any book in the New Testament

I like proverbs and Hebrews but maybe just find a plan that’s not just a book

Mark is a great place to start since it focuses so heavily on Jesus’s actions and teachings 😊 Ephesians would be good too since chapters 1-3 overview the Gospel, and then 4-6 is all about the Christian life and how to live new since we’ve been made new.

I’d really recommend finding a reading plan on the YouVersion Bible app! They have a bajillion options. You could try searching a keyword (like “faith” or “anxiety” etc) that you’d want to study and find a plan that gives you daily readings on the topic. I did a week one on Miracles and it was really good! Forget which one it was, sorry 😅. There are also ones that go through a whole Bible book and have shorter devotions/explanations that go along with the daily reading

I like starting with Jesus’s birth and then going and reading all the parables, and then the miracles

Just remember, the Older and New testament are like a lock and the matching key. The Newer Testament is the lock, but you see, the older Testament is the key to open the most wonderful door you could ever imagine. Don't throw out the old with the dishwater, as they say, but take the time to study it slowly, to really understand it.
I would recommend finding all the prophecies of Jesus' coming in the Older Testament, then finding where they were fulfilled in the Newer Testament. It gives a true sense of validity to the whole Bible. Also, try to read it with the right mindset. The Bible is for all of us, no matter where we are from, but remember, it was written back then by Jews, in a (mostly) Jewish place, about a Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ (in Herbrew, Yeshua Hamashiach). It really helps you to understand things that otherwise might confuse you. It is a little hard to read it with a western mindset and understand everything, because it was written in a different time and place than we understand. But if you look, you'll see lots of wisdom for the modern day. 😉
P.S. I know this is kinda long (hehe sorry) but also a Hebrew/Greek concordance is a GREAT thing to have, to look up the original meaning of a word in the language it was written in.

~Lots of love! 😉 ❤️

You should read the chapters that fit with you personally I read the first few pages and look at messages in the page and then read it if it fits for me🙂 hope that helped🙂
