My mom bought me a friendship bracelet kit because we didn't have a tv with us since at that time, my dad had to go back and forth from Las Vegas because of his work so we got to go there for vacation. I still wear my first bracelet today(candy stripe). I forgot how long ago that was but last year, I decided to get back into it and im obsessed now

I honestly have no idea how I started making bracelets I remember when I made my first bracelet I made these yummy brownies, and I had been weaving on a lap loom and I went with my dad to the store to get embroidery floss, then I started it, it turned out terrible... and that’s all I remember😂😂 but I’m better at them now

I had a bunch of embroidery floss left over from trying to pick up embroidering in the past, and from my moms old stash of thread she didn’t want anymore. I also already knew the basic forward/backward knots from making square knot bracelets, so once I saw that it was just that technique slightly modified I was all over it lol. I learned in October of last year to have something to send to pen-pals and to gift out to friends and whoever wanted one

My friends older sister a few years ago taught me how to make the chinese staircase. About a year and a half later I found Kinsey B. I started following her tutorials and in one video she mentioned BraceletBook. I thought it would be fun to check out, so I did. Then, I got an account and looked at videos telling how to follow patterns. From there on I was hooked!

when I was around 7 years old, my aunt gave me a friendship bracelet-making book by Klutz. I practiced there and then years later I advanced to using patterns and exploring my bracelet-making capabilities.

My older sister made them, and I was interested. She taught me the candystripe!

i think it started when i was bored during summer watching yt and saw a video on sarah’sbeautycorner on making bracelets and i think one of them was a chevron and i remembered that my grandma had string for it and so i made it and i was nowhere close to being good. after that i had forgot about them completely until the vsco trend started and then i was getting better at making bracelets but i still wasn’t good. i did learn how to read patterns though even though i only really did the smaller ones. after that i also had forgotten about them until recently at the start of quarantine i was reallllyyyyyyy bored and there was a trend on tiktok i think with making hair wraps using embroidery floss (i never actually did it, it just reminded me about the fact that i have embroidery floss) then i saw a few tiktoks about bracelet making and finally i decided to watch some tutorials and practice and time for me to where i am today
