So... I am going on a camping trip soon and i need some beginner friendly patterns to teach my siblings. So, if you could suggest some patterns that would be super helpful

#1 or #680 only forward knots#2 left half only forward right half only backward knots that meet in the middle ( also #117 ) One row forward knots, one row backward knots, rinse and repeat #676 Small chevron (this one includes forwardbackward and backward forward knots) #266 , this one is a simpler version of #18 #2105 and variations, a simple braid like nr 2 and 117, but with a border |

I would recommend a pattern between 6 and 8 strings which have all the knots in it, these patterns were the ones that helped me when I started.

I HIGHLY recommend teaching them the chevron first. They’ll get comfortable with both forward and backward knots, and the chevron doesn’t naturally curl like the candy stripe does. After that, you can go to the main patterns page and order them from oldest to newest, and the first ones that come up will be pretty easy
