Anybody else debating staying home from college? I’m about to be a freshman and I’m going to live on-campus for the first quarter. Four of my five classes will be online, but the in-person one is orchestra which I love. But they announced yesterday that after Thanksgiving break, all classes will be online. So I don’t know if I want to keep living in the dorms after the first quarter or if I want to move back home

I started this summer. My semester was supposed to be in-person, but they changed it to remote, which bummed me out. Honestly, if my spring semester turns out to be online, I’m going to defer a semester and work instead.

awkward i sent it early....my college is doing something similar, all courses and finals will be online after thanksgiving break, but for my university’s schedule, classes only go about a week or two (including finals) after thanksgiving. so, if you were planning on returning home after the fall semester, it’s essentially the same thing. i recommend staying on campus! i wish i had done that last semester, but i moved home instead. i was able to focus better and have on campus, and also use their resources. hope this helped! 🙂

I graduated high school in 2015 and got my associates then, as well. But I’ve taken gap years and started my bachelors online completely while working. I am lucky I chose to do that.

i totally feel your pain here, my school is saying the same thing. it’s really frustrating to move away to the dorms but have all the classes online anyways... but at least the way i see it, i’d rather go live in a new place and explore as much as i can (safely) rather than stay in my hometown with nothing to do but my college classes

my college is talking about planning to do the semester by cramming all lessons on wednesday digitially (i'll be in my last year so the amount of theory classes are limited),,,,,,, however they still have no concrete answer for practical classes,,,,, I have heard people about take-home exercises instead of lab time :")

if it werent my last year menaing I only have half a year of classes and half a year of interning I'd consider pausing my studies a year
