Hey guys can you give me summer recommendations for me. I am an upcoming 8th grader but I tend to read more on the 9th grade-10th grade side.

Ten is based on that book and is great I read it with my class in grade 6 and 7. I also love Anne of green gables I have seen grade 4 and I’m going into grade 9. A land of stories series, or a month of Monday’s about a girl who begins to speak with her mother after a long time but Monday’s are her worst days. And I also love trading faces but it may appeal towards younger kids.

Artemis Fowl, The Unwanteds, and The Island of Fog series are really good. I read them when I was in 8th grade, but I’ve read on a high school level since I was 9 sooo

A few of my favorite books are Every Last Word, And then we Looked Up, A Map for Wrecked Girls, and Looking for Alaska. I just finished 8th grade, and I am also more of an advanced reader, so you might like these! 🙂

i don't know but i really like this one book called 'girl in the blue coat' it was amazingly written and a very beautiful story. i read it when i was in eighth grade, it wasn't assigned to me, i read it by myself, but oh my god was it good. it was about this girl in Germany when Nazis were still around, and she was working in the black market. she would get people extra supplies like more food or hair products things like that. one of her regular customers asks her to find this girl she was hiding in her house from the Nazis. she doesn't want to do it at first for risk of being caught but eventually gives in and tries to find the girl. it gets a little sad at the ending and their is a small plot twist, but otherwise i think it would a great book for you to read for eight grade!(its not a real story but it is based around true events and is really good, i very much recommend it!) |

I think you should start getting into classics since 9th grade has a lot of classics. You should read The Outsiders, The Great Gatsby, Paper Towns, The Librarian of Auschwitz, and stuff similar

“Life As We Knew It” by Susan Beth Pfeffer. It’s a really interesting book from a young girls POV about an asteroid that hits the moon closer to Earth. Apocalypse and natural disasters follow. It’s the first of a series, but I’ve only read that one.
