I had braces for 2.5 years (it was that long bc I kept breaking brackets and had to stay in rubber bands for a year 😂 it be like that ), and now I have a permanent retainer behind my teeth. I highly recommend that type of retainer because it's super low maintenance!

@Hk14 I had a pretty big gap between my middle teeth too, but it went away pretty quickly after I got braces on.

I have braces! I got them in December 2019, so I still have at least a year left. Does anyone else have a “bite ramp”, also known as “the blue thing”? I’ve had it since the beginning and it makes eating difficult sometimes.

@Disney12 how long did you have your expander for? I still have it for 5 more months until I get my braces on. Did the gap last after you stopped cranking it?

@Hk14 I probably had mine on for 6-8 months. I don’t think the gap went away when I stopped cranking it. I’m pretty sure it went away when I got braces.

Pro tip, wear your retainer once you get your braces off!!! And make sure not to loose it. If you do loose or break it, tell your orthodontist ASAP because it will save money and a ton of extra hassle and worry. Speaking from experience here! 👍

I have brace's on I got them in February of 2020 (this year) I don't really like them because of two reasons 1 food gets stuck in them to easy and 2 people tell me I don't look good in them at all.

I have braces and I am probably going to get them off in the fall. I got mine on March 2019. I am soooo excited to get them off!!

I didn’t even really have crooked teeth but, I had a really bad overbite that is pretty much fixed! It is sooo helpful to wear your rubber bands all the time because in the end you won’t have to have them as long.

@TiedUp I had a bite ramp! I didn’t have it from the start though. I got top and bottom braces and expanders put on all at once, and BOY DID THAT HURT!! 😖 I can’t remember how long I had the expanders, but I had braces for 3 yrs. Not fun...
