I am skipping a grade this school year, wanted to know if anyone is doing the same thing, or has recently done it in the past. I am kinda scared, and could use some encouragement.

nice! I am going into 9th grade and my school doesn't let us skip grades but, if I had the opportunity it would definitely be a hard choice. Don't be scared though, 8th grade is easy, you will be fine!

I didnt skip any grades but i did drop out of highschool 6 months in. I know how scary it can be to not follow the norm when it comes to education, but i hope u know that it doesnt define you or your ability to succeed.

I was supposed to skip the first grade, but my school doesn't allow it. My mom skipped a grade, though!

Never in my whole entire life, well so far, have I ever skipped a grade or got held back and I don't intend to. 😛

Im kind of skipping a grade this year im gonna be a freshman so 9th grade and im also doing online school at the same time so I will graduate a year early so I will not go to school my senior year if that makes any sense

I don't know if this counts but I skipped a year of math. So now I'm going into 9th grade and taking Algebra 2, which is typically a 10th or 11th-grade math class, depending on your school.

I skipped the 4th grade. I don't know how it is in other countries but in Germany the primary school is from 1-4th grade and the 'gymnasium' from 5-12th. So I didn't just skip a grade I changed the school one year earlier 😅. It was more that my mom decided for Me but after all I am Happy about it. I'm sure it will be great for you,too 😊

I haven't and I don't think anyone in my school has skipped a year as I don't think that you're allowed to.
