@rubisaa11 “Normal” doesn’t really exist, in my opinion. Better to be passionate in the things you do than to fake your interests to fit in 🙂

@Phoenix_17 Well, you don’t *have* to make patterns, but if it’s something that you want to do, I suggest that you just doodle for inspiration and then try to make a pattern from it. Hope it helps 🙂

@Phoenix_17 Unless you mean actually knotting the bracelets. In which case, just find one you like and start 😂🤷♀️

this is really wholesome and nice and i think a lot of people need to hear it! if you lke following trends that's fine and if you don't that's fine too. your worth isn't equated to your clothes, how your body looks, and how popular you are. this is literally so cliche but live your life to the fullest and do whatever makes you happy : )

wise words. Its tough to be a girl at this age when everyone is telling you who to be. Thanks for speaking up those words are very important to girls ❤️

@Elise64 @sushi_06 @noraballet @allison_ @l_d_1_3 @kid_u_knot I wasn’t expecting to log on and find so much appreciation on this post 😊 Thank you for those who contributed and thank you to those who read my words and really tried to take them to heart. I always say that a positive thought that goes unspoken is a waste of positive energy, so I hope that you continue this idea of lifting others up ❤️

I have been feeling really down lately. I’ve been so self conscious in my own body and all I can see are flaws. I will see videos of girls being happy and confident in their bodies and I wish with everything in me that one day I can feel like that but I don’t know if I ever will. I’m scared to step on a scale because I know I’ll be disappointed in what it is showing me. I wanna talk to my family and friends about it but I feel like they won’t understand and won’t take me seriously even though I know they love me. I will tell myself to start working out and to start eating less junk but I struggle to keep up with it and I’ll tell myself that today is a cheat day but then everyday becomes a cheat day and I just don’t know what to do anymore.

I'm really grateful for this. As a girl who struggles with my own body shape, looks and what comes with wearing a hijab at school, I appreciate what your saying.

@samanthaw I know that it’s really hard to live in a world that is so focused on weight and weight loss. You discussed feeling like you can’t talk to your parents, but that’s one thing that I’d suggest doing. You don’t have to go through this alone. Plus, your parents buy the groceries, and if they buy less junk food, there’s less temptation for you. Don’t turn to any unhealthy ways to lose weight, such as eating disorders. These things hurt your body and can cause irreversible damage. But onto another very important thing. I can tell you that it is not easy to learn to love yourself, but it’s so so important to try to. Every time you look in a mirror, you need to make it a priority to compliment yourself. Think about how pretty your eyes are or think about how you’re having an awesome hair day. Don’t think about your weight, and for every time you have a negative thought about yourself, counter it with two positive ones. If you can’t find anything you like about yourself that day, go put on an outfit that makes you feel pretty and compliment something about your personality. Don’t step on the scale- that number doesn’t matter. It doesn’t tell if you’re pretty. It doesn’t tell if you’re a good person. |
