Hooh boy. Between 12 and 18, I had some phases. First was blue, then when that faded it was a weird green for awhile, then blonde, red, red faded to orange, plain orange, blonde again, black, brown, dark brown, black, and now I’m back to blonde blended with my natural hair color which is sort of a honey brown. My hair almost never forgave me for all that damage, but I did have a pixie cut for a lot of that time, so the worst of it has been hacked off by now and she’s healthy as can be.

I bleached and dyed my hair last year but it still hasn't come out. Does anyone have any tips to get out the color but won't damage my hair more? ❤️

@S_aaa_mmm As someone with lots and lots of hair coloring experience, the absolute best way to preserve your hair health while trying to get color out is to see a hair stylist that specializes in color and have them bleach it or, if possible (and they would tell you if it is possible), use what is essentially a dye remover and give your hair a conditioning treatment. I’ve tried many hair color removing hacks and trust me, they will all damage your hair a lot more than having it done lol. It’s the more expensive route, but if keeping your hair healthy is the goal it’s 100000000% the best option. For nursing your hair back to health when it is damaged, I recommend making sure you have a sulfate free shampoo with keratin, try using a cleansing conditioner instead of shampoo several times a week, and find a keratin conditioning hair mask to use once a week/every other week. I hope this helps you on your hair journey!💛💛

@S_aaa_mmm (And if you’d like to know any of the brands I personally use, I could DM you. It took me awhile to get my hair to be really healthy again after all of my color journeys as a kid, so I definitely understand the struggle)
