I’m a Christian myself! I just try to live like Jesus would and love like Jesus did. (Hey that’s my new catchphrase!) @lucass_ I really really love what you just said about not letting other Christians dictate your religion. And also, as a Christian, whether you think lgbtq is right or not, if you ever bully anyone for it you are in the wrong yourself. After all, the tied-first most important commandment is love others as yourself. Whether you like what they are doing or not. And hey, for all you people who hate on lgbtq as a Christian, is that what Jesus would do? No. You can think something is wrong and still be civil and kind about it. Loving isn’t circumstantial

@sprinklez yesssss i personally don’t think bein LGBTQ+ is wrong. my brothers bi and my gf ace…. it’s not rly smthg they can control, and i don’t think god would create people like that. but yesssss that’s why i have that verse in my bio. like bruh y’all be hatin and now ur disobeying the second greatest commandment.

Also liking what @sprinklez and @lucass_ are saying abt the whole LGBTQ+ support stuff. They get wayyyy to much hate from Christians, even though the main message of christianity is love, kindness, acceptance and lots of Christians don’t acknowledge that

@lucass_ yeah it’s like in the haters endeavor to follow the Bible they are breaking one of the most important commandments. I don’t like it when people pick and choose what rules to follow. As for me, I don’t necessarily think it is right, and I choose not to participate in it but at the same time I support everyone 100% no matter what because my job is not to judge others, just love, any anyway other people can make their own decisions on that stuff. Loving is the most important thing. If it really is wrong then it’s up to God to judge, but my job is to love others and so I will (try my absolute best) to do that

@plant-dad @sprinklez @lucass_ @Vivi07 @roundcat I completely agree! I personally believe that urgent reform needs to happen in the church. God loves LBGTQIA+ peoples so much, why can’t Christians? Why can’t the church love them? I was taught by my Christian parents not to associate myself with Gay/Lesbian people, but as I started getting older and walking closer to God, I realized that I was actually sinning if I was excluding them out of my life. I realized that my parents were wrong, my church, even my pastor was wrong for discrimination against LGBTQ+ peoples. Homophobia is so wrong on multiple levels, and if it’s what your church/family supports, Then I don’t think they truly know Gods heart. Gods heart is Love towards everyone. He loves and accepts all no matter who they may be, or what they do! Church should be a safe place, a place where people can worship the God they love and a God who loves them back. Not a place where they put rules on who can worship God and who can’t. Who’s going to heaven and who’s not, because that is God’s Place to judge. Jesus Christ never discriminated against anyone. When people told him to “not go near them, they’re sinners” or “don’t go where he is, we don’t like him,” Jesus ignored them. He went close to them, healed them or did whatever helped them. That’s the God I serve!
