It's pretty easy to do. The only real difference is that you have to add a key ring.

I thought I knew how to do normal patterns...but I don't. The placement of the strings throughout the pattern confuse me(hope that makes sense)

So, for a while i found it really hard to do alpha patterns, but I got the hang of it - once I got the idea that the background was all one color. Anyway, an idea I had to keep track of where I was in the normal patterns was to use a sticky note and a printed pattern.
