I’m going to be a senior and I remember the summer before freshman year I was so nervous and every time I thought about going to high school I freaked out. Literally the first day of school I was like like that wasn’t so bad! You will get used to it quickly and it will be fun! Joining sports and clubs is a good way to get to know people in other grades!

I graduated in 2019 but all of you who are scared to go into hs, don't be. It sounds really scary but trust me, it's not. If you think that upperclassmen are gonna be mean to you, they're not. If I'm being honest, upperclassmen don't care that you're there and they will most likely leave you alone. Getting from class to class isn't that bad..... the school allows you enough time to get across the building and if not, you could always talk to a teacher about that. Some of the teachers are really chill too...... my French teacher gave us 15 minutes to ourselves in the beginning and end of class, plus we had days where he wouldn't make us do any work. So anybody who is gonna be a freshmen next year, it's not as scary as you might think it is.

I’m going into 10th grade, and I was just a freshie so don’t be nervous. The school might seem overwhelming at first but after a couple days you will get to know where things are, and if you don’t just ask because teachers are going to be there to help. I totally agree with joining something it makes high school a lot more fun because you don’t just do work there, and you can meet new people. But I’d try to find a couple close friends that will be there for you. Truly just enjoy hs because it goes by so fast.

Trust me, as class ‘23, high school is over hyped. You’ll have a lot more fun and freedom, but wayyy more responsibility. Plus you’ll find out who your real friends are so don’t get too attached. But you’ll make new ones!

I’ll be a junior in college this fall. The best advice i will give to you is don’t be afraid to get involved and join things (like clubs, sports, etc) even if you think there is no chance of you getting into it. You’ll never know if you don’t try. I was so shy and self conscious and there were so many things that I wanted to try out for and get involved in and I never did. I sat on the sidelines for all of high school and I really regret it. If you want to join the school play or debate team go for it!
