@BandGeek22 Ok so I'm currently a sophomore in high school and can honestly say that I've already learned a lot. Fist of all, you will lose friends because some will go crazy. Don't stress yourself about that. Secondly, study and get the best grades possible. When you study, you also impress your teachers, which is very good because you won't always have good teachers. Make sure to get involved! (It helps you make friends who are older) I started marching band freshman year and I am still doing it and I'm actually really close to some of current juniors and seniors and ik that they'll have my back.

@BandGeek22 Oh and in middle school, all of the teachers tried to convince us that high school teachers were all going to be very strict and assign a ton of homework. Trust me, you will get really cool teachers who are very chill. My French teacher for freshman and sophomore year was super chill along with my sophomore year english teacher.

Agreed, get involved and join some clubs/sports/organizations; you can always leave later but its harder/more awkward to join as time passes. As of academics, school always comes first but freshman year is also your easiest in terms of workload (at least in my area) so don’t forget to have some fun. I mean, stay safe, but have fun.

Try and join some clubs and/ or sports so you can make friends who have similar interests. A lot of your friends from middle school might not be as close anymore especially if you don’t have any classes together. But don’t worry, as long as you put yourself out there and get involved in your school community, you will be able to make plenty of new friends! Good luck!!! 😄

Thank you guys and yeah I do have a REALLY good friend rn and I know we are both doing band marching band and choir I know friends come and go but I hope I can keep that one but thank you all sooooo much I appreciate it 😃
