I think that we should just not care about other peoples relationships tbh! You can love whoever you want to and there should be no shame in that.

Oof, hard topic... So, right off the bat, I don't support lgbtqa+. I am a strong Christian, and see that in the Bible, we are warned against homosexuality and other sins. But, i have met people who are Christians and gay, because they can't be any other way. And many lgbtq are very nice, kind people. But acting on the feelings, like in the case above, would make it a sin. Having them isn't a sin, though. Temptation isn't a sin, even Jesus was tempted and he didn't sin. If you act in it that is a sin. God days he won't let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. You can turn from your sin and come to Jesus!! He forgives everything, and loves you forever!! ❤️❤️❤️

I honestly believe Jesus is more concerned about caring for His children than who they are attracted to, gender, race, backgrounds, etc.. Jesus has protected and loved us ever since the beginning. Jesus protected his disciples and His Father’s name and his children. He wants to protect us. He made us the way we are, and loves us. I hope this helps because it really helped me.

I would like to believe God's love is unconditional but sometimes I'm not sure. Many Christians believe homosexuality and Christian values don't go hand in hand. I want to grow stronger in my faith even as someone in the lgbtq community.

There are many Christian churches and communities who accept everyone and are lgbt+ affirming. I hope you find that community soon ❤️

@slin I grew up in a very Christian conservative family. I also have what they call “same-sex attraction” and I’ve had it my whole life and no matter what I did or how much I prayed it would not go away. I believe that people should just mind their own business because if you really followed all the rules in the Bible, especially if your talking about Leviticus with the hundreds of rules, you wouldn’t eat shellfish, pigs, animal fat, wear clothes with two different fabrics, ect. They have so many rules yet homosexuality is the one they seem to care about or condemn the most. Everyone sins and it ain’t no one else’s business to judge you for your “sins” y’know?

I go to a what people would call “a progressive Christian church” and I am lucky to have gone there my whole life. I know that I was taught that Jesus loves you for who you are. You cant control being lgbtq it is just who you are so you aren’t a bad person because of it. I was taught that Love is a good things and that God is love. There’s nothing wrong with loving people and being who you are.

@Hanners I totally agree! Sometimes christians can be very judgy of one another despite the fact we are supposed to love our neighbors and follow the golden rule. I'm not out to anyone in the church because I know that would not be accepting.

It's really not an easy topic...I think the two could easily fit together. (This is just my own opinion). |

i live in a very strict, religious, conservative household. i’ve been raised to believe lgbtq is wrong and “ungodly”. i am straight but have no problem if someone is lgbtq. i live in a very rural area of south texas where close to everyone is conservative & Christian. i am a christian as well but have seen the hate members of lgbtq community receive and that is never okay. i believe god loves everyone as they are and that we should as well. you can love someone without agreeing with their beliefs or lifestyle. it’s so sad to see that christian’s are seen as a hateful group. i believe gods love has no limits 🩷✝️

as a christian, i am not very educated on this subject. i personally would not be lgbtq. but God says to love your neighbour and i will not shame someone just because they are lgbtq

@kambri1224 I honestly don't think being gay is a choice, and sometimes I wish I could be straight because life would be easier. I didn't intentionally choose this lifestyle, but i'm dealing with the cards i've been dealt.
