We have a pickle!!! A German tradition, you hide it on Christmas eve and in the morning when the kids wake up earlier, they look for it and if they find it first they get a prize!

Well almost all of our ornaments have special meanings, but my favorite (and the only funny one) is a fairy that my dad dropped. Luckily we replaced it but he hasn't lived it down since! I also have a crown I got when I went to a castle in Europe.

I had this cute Gwen Stefani ornament from a Christmas perfume she released ages ago. Sadly I no longer have it but the perfume smelled sooo good and the ornament was a cute little cartoon doll of Gwen Stefani in a Christmas outfit

@martha9999 My family has a pickle as well! Usually the prize for finding it first is you get to open the first present on Christmas day! All of the kiddos love searching for it!

That's cool! @KrazyKnotz!We don't have star tree topper unfortuanetly, but we have a small star metal ornament that says "Joy"on it that we put on top the tree every year! However, my best story is that every year, my mom hand-makes or finds a person who hand-makes custom birds that we see on all of our trips or every year! This year we went to Colorado so we got birds that we saw there as ornaments! |
