Hey,
I use to knot a lot in my childhood, but kind of fell off it in my teenage years.
Most of my college classes are pretty boring and hard to listen to if you don't have something to do, lots of people knit or stitch, and I thought why not reignite this hobby.

I already learned that I pull my knots way too tightly. It doesn't actually affect the quality of my bracelet, but I pull hard enough that I have small blisters on my fingers from the pressure :/
I decided to wear rinds in the future so that there doesn't have to be any actual contact between my strings and fingers.

But that brings me to my question, are there any tips or tricks you would have liked to receive as a beginner.
If you could meet the you that started out, what advice would you tell them?
Are there maybe particular patterns that you found especially rewarding or fun to make?

I had the same issue with the blistering. I would wrap the string around my index finger and then pull so tight that I would get blisters on the skin in between the distal and intermediate phalanges (so sorry for medical terms 😂). Is that what your issue is? Because what I found out is you don't need to make the knots so tight, just tight enough so there aren't big spaces between the knots. You also can just pinch the strings with your fingers. Hope this helps! ❤️

Maybe looking at various ending and starting tutorial videos I find myself looking back over some of my first creations and wishing I would have known the different ways to end and start patterns, it makes them so much nicer and neater when you ad variety
