You could take a shower at night and sleep in a cold room. Make sure to cover yourself in a blanket that will keep you warm, and dry your hair before going to bed. This always seems to work for me.

i literally just close my eyes and start daydreaming (night dreaming? idk) about whatever and that eventually just makes me fall asleep.

yeah my parents don't let me take melatonin either 😢 what I do when I can't fall asleep is put my phone in another room so I don't get distracted, and I read like one chapter of my favorite book, (it's literally my comfort book), then I turn off all the lights and lay in a position I'm comfortable in. Then, I close my eyes and think in my head "feet, go to sleep", and I try my hardest not to move my feet. then "ankles, go to sleep", and so on until either I reach my head, and I do it all over again, or most of the time I'm asleep when I get to my shoulders. I hope this helps ❤️

I struggle with this sometimes. What I like to do is called cognitive shuffling I believe and you basically imagine a word and it’s spelling in your head so like painting. Then for each letter of your word you think of a list of words with the same letter so like pimple, potato, pineapple, pickle, potstickers. When you get bored with that letter you move onto the next letter so a then make a list of a words. When I’ve done it in the past it took about two letters and then I fell asleep but I still make sure to use longer words just in case

try some natural sounds music such as rain or something soothing like that. spotify has it as does youtube but if you put spotify on a timer to turn off and turn off your phone and lay down trying to sleep that has helped me immensely. i use to never rly be able to sleep as well and it has

When I can’t sleep I play calming music on my phone and put it under my pillow (remember to set a timer that makes your phone turn off automatically)
