@BlueCat123 it's a long story, but here's the basics. personally I love members of the lgbtq community, because in the Bible it says to love everybody, and I truly do. however, I do not exactly love what they are doing. love the sin, hate the sinner, right? I am in no way saying that I, a straight person, am not a sinner. everybody messes up, and I have had my fair share of mess-ups. but that's the great thing about Jesus. He loves us even though we sin! He went through unthinkable pain and humiliation so that we don't have to. He forgives us even if we don't ask Him to! but that doesn't mean that I could go around doing bad things, and I would still go to Heaven. He says in the Bible (I think somewhere in Deuteronomy) that "No one can enter the Kingdom of Heaven, except through me." therefore, we have to ask Him to enter into our hearts, and we have to life a lifestyle that reflects Him. we aren't called to BE Christ, we are called to be "Christ-Like" meaning we strive to love as He loves. but in no way do I support the lgbtq community because personally I feel that we as Christians should live and love as He intended. I hope that wasn't too confusing, and I hope it helped ❤️

because it goes against my religion. if I was muslim and I said that I do not support lgbtq because of my religion then y'all would be fine with it. just chill guys it's my opinion and you can't change it so you might as well live with it.

@Amphy chilling out is for when you accidentally break something and someone says it's ok or when somebody overthinks an issue, not when somebody makes an incredibly hateful comment that targets a large group of people. it's not about disrespecting your religion because plenty of queer ppl are religious too, it's that we don't like the hate that you're spreading. i am a Christian, and i am queer. i can justify my beliefs, but i'm not getting into that with one comment. there's a good chance this comment will get removed since i wrote it when i was this frustrated but i'm trying to stay nice here! anyways

@Amphy sorry it sent early anyways 'live with it' has never been the solution to anything either. there have been plenty of problems for minority or otherwise unpopular groups in history, and live with it has never been the solution. women can have equal rights because people fought for it and protested, they weren't just complacent in their wrongful situation. civil rights movements and leaders were born from protests and dreams for a better world, not people sitting still and wishing it would change, doing nothing. 'live with it' is a really pointless statement because good change never happens if people don't let it. so yeah, queer people will continue to fight back against homophobia until it's erased completely. that's why i, at least, couldn't just let this comment slide without making my point here.

@Amphy one more note, it's kind of easy to see that there are a lot of queer users on this site, so even if you have a negative opinion about lgbtq and believe it's not right, there's no reason to say something so hurtful. you said it above- love the sinner, right? loving people does not include intentionally making painful comments that you know will be seen by a lot of people who are negatively affected by it. even if you disagree, it's still just mean to post that out of hate and spite.

I do realize that probably wasn't the smartest thing to say, so I do truly apologize. it wasn't my brightest moment. but I really really want you to know that I am not a mean and hateful person, just some things get me heated, and I do need to work on that, and I apologize for anyone I've hurt. I know that was a lame apology but idk what else to do. I really hate it when people are mad at me and I don't like being pegged as a mean person... but yes that was my own fault. I know it may be a long shot but I hope you can forgive me and I won't let it happen again

@Amphy totally forgiven, i got very riled up too. i believe that you aren't hateful or mean all the time, but i hope that your stance on lgbtq can evolve someday too. i know you disagree there but overall, i just want to see love be spread and i know you do too. i'm not mad at you directly if that helps (: i hate when that happens too so it's alright
