do you say its just a bunch of knots to make it easier for them to understand? i feel like when i say that it disregards how much time and effort goes into making them but i also dont want to complicate it more when people who have never made/seen the bracelet community before ask how they work

I just say that it’s knotting. Sometimes I add that it’s simple but time consuming if they’re acc interested and I generally recommend some tutorials and stuff 🙃

I usually say like different knots bring the strings and different directions, and that makes the cool pattern
