i don’t live anywhere near where the eclipse is happening unfortunately 😭and if i were to see it, we’d have to book a flight or drive for a couple of days to get to somewhere in the path of totality |

I’m driving to Indiana because I don’t live in the path. Nothing in my town is happening because it’s only partial.

I live in the path of totality! Schools are closing and I’m going to a friends house to watch with her! I’ve literally known about it/been waiting for it for 7 years because in 5th grade I went on a plantetarium field trip and they told us about it

We were panicking earlier because we couldn't find our eclipse glasses listed on the official AAS website, so we thought we got scammed, lol. But we eventually found them, it's just a super long list. Here is an article about eclipse glasses safety precautions to prevent permanent eye damage - https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/future-eclipses/eclipse-2024/safety/ Here is an article that lists legitimate eclipse glasses - https://eclipse.aas.org/eye-safety/viewers-filters I'm super excited for it! |

I am close to the path of totality so it will basically be like a sunset randomly temporarily for me. I am excited though!!! Last eclipse (in 2016 or 2017 whenever) i had like 20% coverage so having 91% is nice!
