I usually use them as base strings in alphas. Or I use them to calculate the length of a normal pattern

I use them and make alphas that have fringes in the edge. Only made one so far though 😂

It is pattern #36730 but I just used base strings and took a piece of leftover and went across them all then repeated till I was satisfied 😂

I reuse them for alphas if I don’t need much of a certain colour and if they’re long enough, I’ll use as base strings
