what are some really random and specific things that only knotters get?saving a bunch of patterns to your loves so string shopping is easier that period of feeling a creative boost but then not knowing what pattern to make next having to put off a pattern because you don't have the right colors thinking you got the perfect photo but then when it's posted the lighting is terrible adding patterns to your todos you know for sure you'll never make in your life losing pins/needles and never finding them again |

The string and label things in my bed, carpet laundry and in every pocket of every hoodie and pair for pantsPre-made (yk started like with the starting tie) bracelets in my pocket or bag for when I have to sit somewhere for any length of time That shelf that is filled with literally only bracelet stuff Everybody in my family wearing at least one bracelet and owning at least one keychain There's so many more but that's all that my brain came up with atm |

Getting in a slump & not getting out of it A never ending list of patterns you need to make for people. Having so many scraps you can’t use. Having so many printed patterns you haven’t made. Cleaning out your thread collection so much it drives you nuts. Always Being unsatisfied with your bracelets

Cutting strings way longer than you have to because, what if? Finishing a bracelet and never seeing it again. Having to explain that it’s just knots. Accidentally chopping off a base string. “This took me 5 hours.”

going out in the snow in sandals without putting a coat on just to take a photo of your duck because natural lighting is everything and who doesn't like snow? now your hands and feet are numb and you accidentally tracked snow in the house but that's okay because you got the picture you wanted. never mind that you can see the footsteps

having several containers of bits of string not long enough for normal patterns but you're saving them for alphasthe callous(es) </3 strings you're working on getting caught on something when you move them !! running out of a color in the middle of trying to cut strings for a pattern "can we go to (craft store) again?" and having a LIST of colors crunching your fingers to untie knots in a string you're winding on a bobbin |
