How do people react when you knot in public?

If I knot in public it's probably going to be at school when I have free time. I've had people not really care, but my friends literally spend the entire period just watching me which I think is kinda boring and funny 😂 And some people will ask me what I'm doing and rave about it.What's your experience? |

I don't really knot in public (except in like a waiting room or something which is rare) but the reactions I DO get are "oh that's so cool!! HOW???" And then questions on how I figure out the design and knotting and all the nonsense that's so obvious to the knotting community lol

I get a lot of "woah that's so cool how do you do that!" and I have a nice list of what people think it is, (knitting, crocheting, weaving, macrame) 😂

most of the girls at my school have made a friendship bracelet one way or another like a Chevron or something, but people love to just watch me lol

I knot at school, everyone would always ask for a bracelet, and almost everyone in my grade had one even some younger kids. Also, i knot in restaurants as im waiting for food. Some places take like an hour for my food to be ready when it gets busy, nobody says anything about it then. I am excited to see how older students react when i knot in class as im now entering a new school!

People usually crowd around my desk at school. I tend to fumble with the strings when people are watching me though. Every time people say, “Wow! I definitely don’t have enough patience for that!” and “Who taught you how to do that?!!” And then they ask me to explain how the different knots work. I don’t talk much and people who I’ve never even spoken to start asking me questions. So of course my response is to laugh awkwardly and answer them with as few words as possible. 😅

There are the girlies who I hate who give me weird looks and laugh like "what are they doing" but they're not getting any knotted things from me, they aren't getting a birthday gift from me that took 4+ hours so i haven't lost anything.Then there's my friends, who are like "bro this is how you made this? you took that long for me? i can't-" and then there's like a couple of other friends I have who knot (but like only during the summer/very infrequently) and they are always like "woahhh what pattern is that" or "your bracelets always look so much prettier than mine!!" and then there's the couple of people who like to think that im friends with them when actually theyre rly annoying and cheat off of my friends and i (yes that's aimed at someone i know) who ask relentlessly if i can make them one |

One time I got the coolest reaction. This old lady was watching me (we were in a waiting room) and she came over so curious and excited. I explained a little and told her she could come here (Bracelet Book!) for patterns and tutorials. 🙂
