I'm thinking of doing softball next year (I am in middle school btw idk if that's important or not) and I just want to know if people like have any tips or if you like it or something like that. I've only had a PE softball experience (which was just a week lol) before so like I know the basics and the rules and stuff, but I'm still not that good lol.

i played for 10 years. this was actually my first year not playing. tbh i got kinda burnt out. it was fun while i enjoyed it. then it became more of a habit than something i enjoyed yk? i decided to focus mainly on volleyball and i’m glad i did. just for age reference my mom started playing when she was in 5th grade and by her senior year she got a lot of recognition.

if you want to play i say give it a shot! i recommend looking up videos and learning how to do basics. field, hit, slide, catch, throw properly, and how to correctly play whichever position you would like to play! (it’s best to be able to play at least 2 positions. coaches love utility players so learning to play every position eventually is a good goal!)
